Iphoto 09' Every Stalker's Dream

I've been converted for quite some time now, it has been ages since my primary computer is run on a windows operating system. I will be the first to tell you that I support Apple even when they do something I really don't like. (DRM anyone?) It could be the fact that I'm an elitist at heart and nothing screams "I'm a snooty, elite, environmentally conscious, educated individual" like an Apple Computer... throw in a Toyota Prius and you're unstoppable.

Anyways, I've gone on this horrible tangent because Macworld was only a few days ago. For those of you who are unenlightened MacWorld is the largest reunion of Apple Enthusiasts to basically talk shop. For the past twenty odd years (the first macworld was in 1985) Apple has been a great part of this exposition, however this year in January 2009 will be Apple's last dance with MacWorld. Steve Jobs didn't even give the keynote speech this year (rumors have swirled about this being due to his ailing health.) Anyways, MacWorld is where the iPhone was first introduced...ahem and so.

This year is the year of iLife '09 complete with iPhoto '09 Every Stalker's Dream. Iphoto has integrated facial recognition, photo tagging, location information, and gps all in one. Oh plus it caters to the avid facebook user in more ways than one.

New Features:

  • Facial Recognition: iPhoto will recognize the faces in the pictures and categorize them by person. You name the person in one picture, and the program will allow you to automaticually organize photos, by person by using it's integrated Facial Recognition tool.
  • Cool Bonus: The next time you import pictures with a face iPhoto recognizes, it will automatically ask you to confirm who it is, and they will be organized right then and there.
  • Location Tagging: Apparently some cameras AND the iPhone will record the cordinates of exactly where you took a picture, and import them into iPhoto, so that it can organize your pictures by where they were taken as well.
  • Full Facebook Integration: Now, you don't even need to download that stupid plugin, and if you're already logged into Facebook you can just upload, tag and go, and straight from iPhoto to Facebook there are no bells and whistles.
CREEP ALERT:If you fail to tag someone in your Facebook Album, never fear. Someone else can tag them for you, and as soon as your iPhoto syncs with Facebook they'll be tagged in your iPhoto library as well.

This truly is a stalker's dream, he/she can track who you were with, what kind of things they're into, where you've been, and the contours of your face...well digital contours, and others can help them in their journey into complete obsession. Sounds Fun.

It will be available at the end of January Folks.
