"I Meet 'Em, Freak 'Em, Leave Em', Move On To The Next Man."

The best part about college, Hillman especially, is that a simple question can lead into the most intellectual of conversations... Recently, I posed a question to some of my male counterparts at Hillman; that I thought to be as we Hillmanites like to call problematic (love this word)... The question mainly centered around double standards implemented through societal views... Question?: Why is it that when a female chooses to explore/embrace her sexuality, by having intercourse with multiple partners she is considered to be what today's urban dictionary would label as a hoe??? I was given multiple analogies to put into words the answer to this question. First analogy, coming of course from J-Rock (my fellow Hillman Brotha) notes that, we as human beings are still animals none the less, and in nature many males of other species are known to have sex with multiple females as to keep the population going... And in order to insure the survival, because indeed life is about survival of the fittest, the males that mate with multiple females are usually the alpha male... Example: (Once again, stated by J-Rock) In a pride of lions, there is one alpha male, that mates with many females (Me: females, mind you that do all of the hunting, without whom, the so called alpha male would starve) in order to procreate. Now, my issue with this analogy is that unlike lions, human beings do not operate off of pure instinct, we were designed to operate off of more then just our animalistic urge to mate.

Second analogy, coming from DMV (another fellow Hillman Brotha), stating that the reason why women are considered to be hoes if they embrace their sexuality with multiple guys is that, the act of having something inserted inside of you is an act of violation... When you are allowing multiple men to enter inside of you as a women, you are in essence being violate weather or not it is consensual... And, that violation, makes you in many ways impure... Its in many ways like a socket (women), which is stationary... A plug (men) which is much more mobile... A plug can go anywhere and be plugged into many different sockets, with out question... While a socket is forced to be stationary and really can not enter change with multiple plugs or it can get shorted out or over used... (I got it, I hope everyone else gets where he is going, LOL)... But, once again my problem with this is that, if multiple plugs want to use my socket, why shouldn't I be allowed to let them with out being labeled... Maybe a sockets likes that electric shock it gets just like a plug enjoys it... And who is to say that by inserting your plug in to multiple sockets wont short out your wires as well...

The point is being in touch with your sexuality does not make you a hoe... If I chose to have my way with a gentleman, put the money on the night stand and bounce I should be well with in my right to do so without being deemed a "slut"... And I believe that there is difference between a woman who is in touch with her sexuality and a woman who is a complete "slut" or "hoe"... A hoe or slut is someone who has no standards when it comes to the people she chooses to have sex with... She is willing to do any and everything with any and everybody; and that is simply not the case with everyone who has multiple partners... Women with healthy sexual appetites, have standards for the people they have sex with, they simply want to enjoy themselves sexually without commitment... And in this day and age where society is slowly becoming more and more liberal, this ideal should be perfectly acceptable... Also, women with multiple partners who would not consider themselves "hoes", never kiss and tell... She carries herself in such a manner where no one ever knows that she does what she does... The sad part is men can walk around and openly brag about the number of females they have had sex with, while women are forced to live in the shadows of their sexuality... It is ok for males to all have sex with the same female, but if multiple women where to pass a man around like a piece of meat, it is socially unacceptable... Even if a women simply decides to date multiple men, not even planning to have intercourse, but a simple auditioning of life mates, she is considered "fast", or "easy"... The fact of the matter is that we live in a society ruled by men for men... And through the exploration of female sexuality men become threatened... Threatened by the idea of a women in a position of power, sexually... Losing the spot as alpha male to a female, can be very detrimental to a mans ego...

These double standards are still leading me to believe that we still live in the 50's... Where women simply cook, clean and raise children while men, go to work, and come home to be treated like a king, and lounge... I believe in treating my man like a king as long as I am treated like a queen in return... I should not be forced to live up to a specified ideal about my gender...
