"I've got a feeling, It's Automatic"

Song: Automatic
Artist: Mickey Factz
Album:

The Mixed Message.

Have you been the victim of a mixed message? Were you given the green light and then suddenly had to stop on red? We've all been victims of it. Mostly because all humans don't communicate the same way. Especially between the sexes. It creates frustration, confusion, and can leave one party feeling embarrassed and hurt.

So how do you avoid the mixed message:

1. Be upfront with your feelings: This is often easier said than done. Most people who fall victim to this heinous occurrence, are usually people who refuse to put themselves out there. They'd rather the other person take the plunge, but more often than not end up being hung out to dry.

2. Address the elephant standing in the room: This goes along with being upfront, but also if you're feeling uneasy about a certain situation, or you know that something can be taken a different way, you must specifically address that what you're trying to say. Don't beat around the bush when it comes to certain situations.

3. Think how he or she would think: Honestly, as a girl, or as a guy think about what would pass through your head if the shoe were on the other foot. I mean, it's hard to think like a girl (for men) and vice versa, but some things aren't so hard to figure out.

Case and Point: Vic's Valentines Day.

1. Vic gets a call at 10:00
2. The Kid asks Victoria if she wants to grab Takeout and watch a Movie.
3. It's February 14th
4. Vic's meal was paid for
5. They go to his place to watch the movie.

Vic got her hopes up, because all signs pointed to Yes.
Vic got let down, because they really meant No.
Vic got Angry because she felt tricked.
Vic got Embarrassed because she felt played.
Vic and The Kid's relationship is now strained.

Don't let the Mixed Message happen to you.
